And we still wait......

It has been a while since I posted.  Last Monday as we were preparing for our trip to Arizona I made sure to take with us all the documents we needed, in the event that our Letter of Acceptance was issued while we were gone.  Well... we are back home and still have not received our Letter of Acceptance.  I am soooo ready for it to come.  This step has been so hard to wait on.  I hope that the next steps will be easier, as they will be shorter waiting times.

In better news... I have received an update that Myah's surgery was a success!  She has been back to the orphanage for about 12 days.  She is doing well and eatting great!  I understand her smile is beautiful!  That makes this mamma's heart happy!  I am anxious for a family to travel, and request to see her... so we can all get a peek at her pretty smile!

Getting everything ready for our LOA!

We are now on day 48 of the wait for our Formal Letter of Approval  to adopt our sweet Myah.  The average wait time is 50 days... so I hope we receive ours SOON!  Once we receive our LOA we have to sign it, return it to our agency and send a copy along with several other forms to the USCIS to receive approval for Myah to coming into the USA as a US citizen.  Steps... there are lots of steps in the adoption process.  I have to read the directions over and over to make sure that I don't miss anything!

Once we get our LOA, we will travel in a little over 2 months... we hope!

We are hopeful that our LOA arrives today, so that I can get it all taken care of before we leave for Jeff's family reunion.  It would be soooo nice to not have to worry about anything while we are gone... well... except how long it will take for us to receive Myah's immigration approval... so we can move to the next step!  The good thing about the next steps is that they typically take 2 to 3 weeks each... so I know what to expect.  With the LOA there is no way to predict when you will receive it!

In the mean time... I have been shopping for baby girl stuff!  Oh, what fun!  I am happy to report that I have not gone overboard!  Last night I purchased her diaper bag, which is made of asian material!

Our last report on Myah was last Wednesday when another adoptive family asked about her.  She was reported to still be in the hospital (for atleast another week).  Another adoptive family received their daughter today and will be visiting the orphange later this week.  They will ask about her.  I hope she is back at the orphanage and that they will be able to see her.

Please take 15 seconds right now to pray for Myah and her recovery.  Also pray that God will begin to prepare her heart for her new family!  Oh what an adjustment she will go through.

Surgery update does this momma's heart good!

There is a family that is in Hangzhou this week to get their newly adopted daughter.  I had asked them to find out any information that they could about how Myah is doing from her surgery.  Just based on the time that they emailed previously, I was fairly certain that they would email late last night... so I waited to go to bed... and I was right.  They emailed that they had not seen Myah, as she is still in the hospital.  She will be in the hospital for at least another week.  This is the news that I anticipated hearing, but am ever so thankful for those that go before us, that can check on our sweet baby girl.  Another family leaves today and will ask next week for another update!  So, there is the update.

We are praying for our formal letter of acceptance to come SOON!  We are on day 43 and I am ready to move onto the next step in our adoption process!  Please pray that it comes quickly!

A day of emotions!

Well... I shared earlier that I got word that Myah was at the hosptial for her surgery.  As the hours of today passed I began really feeling sad that I was not there to comfort her.  Would you have someone there?  Would she be in a lot of pain?  Would she get pain medication?  How long will she be there?

I have been praying that if she doesn't have pain medication, that God would supernaturally take her pain away and that she would find comfort from Him.  Those prayers are still being prayed by us, and so so many of you.  I am so thankful for that.  Please continue, as the days pass.  I was just getting ready to go to bed and noticed a new email form Red Thread Charities.  Their contact in China sent a message that says that one of her nanny's will be staying with her at the hospital!  Thank you Lord Jesus for this precious email!!!

Myah is in the hospital!

I received an email this morning that said that Myah went to the hospital for her surgery.  I pray that her surgery goes well and that she will not experience much pain and that she will have great care.  I also pray that she will beable to return to the orphanage sooner then most and that she will feel loved and cared for.
Please take 15 seconds to pray for the doctors and for those that care for her while she is in the hospital.

Thank you!
