On to Tennessee!!!!

On the road again.... we went through the state in which I was born.....

and only stopped at the visitor info center and to get gas....

When we got to

we tried to go to the State Capital....

but it was closed for renovations.
We were disappointed... but what is there to do?

After checking in and settling into our hotel, we met the Taylor family at Corky's B-B-Q, for dinner!

After dinner we went to Downtown Franklin to walk around.

Most of the shops were closed.....

But not the yogurt shop....

 Myah helped Sam clean up....
Jenna, Sandra and Kylie enjoyed the yogurt.
 We saw a War Memorial.

Boys being boys!  They wanted to see inside the cannon.

We saw a beautiful church....

and the time we had to spend with new friends!

What a great day!

First it's Abe... then .... It's a bird... it's a plane.... it's Superman!

Over Memorial Day weekend we went to Tennessee.  We left on Thursday evening after Jeff got off work and drove to Mount Vernon, IL.

Friday morning we drove by The Appellate Courthouse ....

and saw a Statue of Abe Lincoln.
Then off to....

to check out.....

we all were a little silly.....

We visited The

and The Superman Museum.

They had costumes from the movies.....
along with many of the props.....

 Several status of Superman....
 Jimmy Olsen's Clothes
 Superman ties.....
 Wonder Woman this's and that's.

Two cute babies checking everything out!

 A phone booth.....

And a cool Zachary.... turned Clark Kent!

The babies were ready to fly like Superman.....

into the car... for the rest of our drive to Tennessee!!!

Deanna Rose Farmstead

A few weeks ago we went to Deanna Rose Farmstead.

The big kids loved running and exploring.

We saw several chickens and a few eggs.

Samuel was full of smiles... as usual.
Zachary and Alexander visited a one room school house.

 We saw baby cows.

 Learned about plowing...
Saw many pretty flowers.
Read the information that they had for us to learn from...

 Ground some corn....
 Touched some fur....
 Tried on some antlers....
 Sat on a swing....
 Fed the baby goats....
 Learned about the bank safe....

 Fed the big goats....
 Played in the garden....

And we were tired.... when it was time to go home.

What a great day.... soon to be repeated!!!
