Doctor's appointments!

Monday Myah had an appointment at the International Adoption Clinic.  They looked her over good and said she looks great!  She had a tb test, that we need to have read by our doctor's office by tomorrow.  They also sent her to the lab to run a bunch of blood tests.  THAT WAS AWFUL!  She is a hard one to get blood from.  After 4 pokes they CAME CLOSE to getting enough blood.  It is a good thing that they opted not to poke her again, as this momma could not handle much more.  I was very concerned how she would be after they were done and I was able to hold her.  She was asleep before we were even out of the parking garage.  We will get the results of the blood tests next week and will begin the process of getting her immunizations caught up.

Tuesday was our cleft clinic appointment for Myah.  It was 3 1/2 hours of meeting lots of different doctors and medical professionals.  The doctor that will be doing Myah's surgery will be adopting their daughter in a few months.  They just received their referral on Monday night.  He was asking me questions about the adopting process.  Their process might be quicker, since he is also Chinese.  We were given special cups to work with Myah to drink from.  She won't be able to have a bottle or sippy cup after her surgery on her palate, so they want her to get ready.  She is schedule for her palate repair in early March.  She will have ear tubes placed next Friday, as she has minor hearing loss.  We pray that it is corrected with the tubes.

Today we had to go back to the doctor to have her TB skin test checked.  It was negative!  Now, I am looking forward to a week without doctors.  Hopefully the rest of us stay healthy!
