We have had Myah for a month!!!

It is hard to believe that we have had Myah for 1 month!  While it feels like she has always been a part of our family, it is also hard to believe that 1 month has passed!  To reflect on the last month, I have a few things to share!

st...  She loves her brothers and especially Zachary.  He makes her giggle!  He is a big help at diaper changing time.  He sits above her head and she just laughs and laughs at him, all the while... laying still so I can change her diaper!

nd... She and Samuel like the same toys... and are at times in compitition for them.... and certainly in compitition for ME!  It has gotten much better, but there is still room for improvement!

rd...  While we certainly need to give Myah special attention, it is vital that we mold out time to give the other kids 1 on 1 time too!  Sometimes that means I take Samuel to the grocery store, while daddy stays home with the other 3.  We have not neglected our normal routine and Myah has done well with adjusting to her new life.

th... We have not missed a church service since we have been home!  That is a huge praise!!!  Myah stays with us in the service and thankfully, she normally sleeps through the message, so we can listen.  She loves the music and what better music then praises to our Lord Jesus!

th... While she used to hide her head in our chest when people talked to her, she now looks at people and sometimes waves hi and goodbye.

th... She is a tricky one to photograph.  She snarls at the camera at times.  We need to soon seek professional help in getting some smiles and giggles!!!

th... Since her palate surgery is nearly 4 months away, I have given her more foods... and she loves everything that I have ever given her..... OK... not the mushrooms that I picked out of my food and tried to give to her.  GOOD GIRL!!!

th... She is having ear tubes placed tomorrow (November 11th) at 1 PM.  Please pray for her as she is separated from us for the 1st time since we got her.  We will be with her until she falls asleep and I am going to request that we be in the room before she wakes up.

th... I continue to be greatful for the work that God has done in our lives through Myah's precious little life.  The love we have for her is tremendous!

th... Many have asked questions about the adoption process.  It has been great sharing with them our heart for adoption and help some as they are starting their adoption journey.  I pray that we can be a testimony of what a great thing it is, and that through it all, God will be glorified!
